Sam's Pick Of The Day #1

Hi! Today we'll be looking at MY Pick Of The Day. Basically I pick one of my favourite items from the Starplaza and make some outfits and alternitive 'Wear Withs'. Ready? GO!

So todays item is the Killah Chara Jumpsuit, 19 stardollars. I like this item because it has a fun flare to it as well as a stylish one. My Wear Withs are Bonjour Bizou Fauz Fur Jacket (7 stardollars) and Fudge Hotbuys Mids Boots (11 stardollars). Heres is my result;

I think this look is fun, stylish and also the jacket gives it a hint of sophistication.

 Now it's time for my alternitive Wear Withs. I'm not going to post pictures, it would take too long! So, here are the list of my alternitive Wear Withs;

IT Girls Jean Jacket- Perfect to wear over the jumpsuit, and at the cheep price of 84 starcoins!
Rio 'Chicas' Hotbuys Body Chain- It adds a hint of light to this outfit and only costs 10 stardollars!
IT Girls Blue Pond Heels- The silver really ties in with the colour of the denim on the jumpsuit and for 62 starcoins, bargin!

Spring Time Looks!

So sorry I haven't posted in a while, my life has been upside down with my birthday and performances, but I'm going to be SUPER active from now on.

HAIR:

Recently, a new shop has opened on Stardoll called 'Tress Up' where you buy new hairs for you medoll. Pretty much all of the hairs are really cool, but there was one that really stood out at me, and with the right Doree hair colour, it looks awesome!

Haven't guessed it? Well, I'm talking about the Cici hair, 80 starcoins, bargin! It looks really good with 2 hair colours which are both avaliable from Doree. The TerraCotta hair colour and the Sunkist Coral hair colour. This brings our total to 80 starcoins and 12 stardollars if your buying both hair colours, or 80 starcoins and 6 stardollars if you only buying one.

MAKEUP:

Bright colours are SO in this season, so why not snazz up your make up look with some? This look is one I like to call 'Spring Butterfly' and it's one of my favourites!

I used;

Melon Madness Lipstick-8 stardollars
Sunshine Shadow-6 Stardollars
Rosy Dawn Shadow-6 Stardollars
Amaryllis Shadow-6 Stardollars
Melon Madness Volume Mascara-3 Stardollars
Melon Madness Blush-8 Stardollars

You could also add some lipgloss to the lips if you liked, but I think it looks great as it is! Now, our total for the makeup comes to a whopping 45 Stardollars! To take this price down, you could try using a different blush (One that you already own) or just one of the two lipsticks. I used the Marigold lipstick under the Melon Madness one, but you could just use either or.


ACCESSORIES:


Accessories are a key part of any good look so thats why I'm including them in this one! I am using very little accessories, theres no need to overdo it! A simple hairband and some eyelash extensions are the only things required for this look.

I am using a hairband (Tropical Flower Diadem Blue) from Splendid and two eyelash extensions (Rainbow Eyelash Extensions Left&Right) from Sunny Bunny, not much but it makes a BIG impact! These little add ons cost 60 starcoins and 12 stardollars to buy and they go perfectly with your look!

CLOTHES:

For Spring, you need light, thin clothes, things that you can run around in, they need to be comfy and flexible. I'm going to be showing you two outfits, both completly different. My favourite is the first one, whats yours?

OUTFIT 1

I made this outfit very light and brightly coloured, different to outfit 2. It is something I would wear in real life at spring time. I love it!

OUTFIT 2

I decided to make this outfit darker and a little more Gothic and Scene then the last one. It is still quite spring-ish maybe a little less then Outfit 1, but a pretty cool outfit overall!

How to be the perfect Stardoll user: The Words

Stop, Think before you click "post" button, think, what would you feel if someone commented that on your Guest Book?...
Many people on Stardoll fill others' Guest Books - The "GB" with "5/5" or "Join my Club", "Buy from my sale"..etc. but there's more in The Doll city, there's the mean girls [haha] some people are just bored and they decide to pass their  time by putting people down, now most of you would say they were just saying their opinion, Now, we understand that, but telling someone their doll/suite/presentation is ugly isn't exactly the way humans should act, yes it is in the nature of humans to have different opinions, but that never meant you can't say "I like your suite, but maybe you should change __" instead of "Ew your suite is __", See the difference, not only will you receive good Karma, but maybe the next time, someone will comment something nice on your GB, because you weren't such a mean person, even though you expressed your opinion, so next time choose your words carefully, you never know what the other person might be dealing with, and the last thing they want to see it someone they don't know calling a virtual house they decorated 'Ugly' in order to see what's beautiful, you must see what's beautiful in other people's eyes..
Now how to deal with people who use hurtful words? Let's see the options, shall we?
A- Hurt THEM, they deserve ,,,don't they?
NO, Fighting back isn't the answer, scratch that..try again

A- Hurt THEM, they deserve ,,,don't they?
B- Replay to the comment about how nasty they were
That's possible, only some people would keep commenting,,

A- Hurt THEM, they deserve ,,,don't they?
B- Replay to the comment about how nasty they were 

C- Be nice to them, Delete their comments, and report and block them
Now we're getting along, Being mean makes them happy that they achieved what they wanted, YOU being MAD, now if you say something like "Thank You For Your Opinion" THAT is something to replay with, no, don't wait for them to comment again, Report them so the SD Staff can take care of them, and block them, just to be sure they won't be commenting again, now, to clean up, Delete all and every each comment they posted on your GB, that way they're forgotten.

Stardoll - Is very addicting, to some who  grow out of it, looking back they actually enjoyed every moment of it, but stardoll is bittersweet, you might meet a lot of mean people along the way of living the Doll Life, but why not make this experience, better by being one of the best users Stardoll ever had, When you leave [Which I hope you won't] you want to be remembered by great names, not ..Hacker,,Scammer,,or weirdo..In order to do that, not only you need the "Glamorous Doll and Suite" or more Stardollars/Starpoints, The most important thing is, your manners, okay so let's picture this...
a really beautiful doll, with a "fab." suite and loads of starpoints and "rares" won CoverGirl - What most people claim that is their "Doll-Life Dream" - So you visit her, and add her, guess what? she accepted and she's in your chat list, You start by saying Hi, and your convo. continues, by time, she starts acting mean towards you, for no reason at all..you try to tell her to stop but she logs off, the next thing you know, YOU were reported for bad behavior, now .. she left, looking back, did she really deserve being CoverGirl?


So.. would you like to be the "Mean Cover Girl"? I Wouldn't 
being a "Doll-Model" is about dressing how you want, Following Doll-trends isn't leading anywhere, So next time you are stuck between a DKNY Dress and a Sunny Bunny outfit, choose what you think matches you ,clear the "I Won't win wearing a fluffy skirt and a funny shirt" thoughts, to prove my point, when I first started playing SD, I Won National Cover Girl wearing a black long trippy dress with pink eyeshadow , no does that follow the trend? No because most Dollz use black smokey eyes and nude lips and keep broadcasting, Oh and another time, a girl with NO sp or sd won NCG Why? She had a few friends, but she was very nice, So in the end, creating your own style, and not doing what everyone else is doing, makes you in the lead, even if you DON'T Win Cover Girl, you'll be a Doll-Model to everyone when choosing what they should put in their Wardrobe
